No Clothes on Ragged Island
Songs
About
The ten songs on No Clothes on Ragged Island are based on the extraordinary life of New York poet Edna St. Vincent Millay. Each song is a scene from the poet’s life, told in chronological order. All songs were written by Kevin Peckham and Karl Ward on February 21, 2010 just one day shy of Millay’s 118th birthday.
Recording Notes
No Clothes on Ragged Island was written, arranged, recorded, mixed, mastered, and released in one week. Recordings took place in two locations: Kevin Peckham’s bedroom in a shared flat in the Ditmas Park section of Brooklyn, and in Karl Ward’s kitchen in Manhattan’s Lower East Side. Mixing and Mastering happened at the Brooklyn location.
